I'm in the same boat. 28 years in clinical research space. MSHS in Clinical Research Administration. Past 10 years in leadership/director roles. I can't seem to land an interview and see 20-year Olds getting the jobs I've applied for on LinkedIn. I'm so happy for them! However, there seems to be a shift in thinking. Do we still value experience and education over youth?! If I hire for my team I get people who can bring something to the table!! I might hire 1 or 2 out of college but your workforce needs to be mainly educated, experienced people or your work will be doing nothing but training!! Are these companies hiring young to let them flounder?! Seems very counterproductive.
Be strong
OP I am really sorry to hear that OP. I have been looking for a new role for six months now and I haven't been having good luck either. however if we give up then we really never will find a job so I am praying there is something out there for both of us. Best of luck to you OP.
