I was in your shoes two years ago. It helps if your judge knows partners at firms I connected with a couple and they got me interviews. If i didn’t know someone at the firm, I would just send my application materials to the recruiter for law clerks/first years. A lot of big law firms have made offers to their summers so now is probably a good time to apply or reach out and ask when to apply.
You’re welcome! Also, don’t rule out midsize major regional firms. Biglaw is competitive even for state appellate clerks (if you don’t know someone and haven’t summered) they can be a good way to get into biglaw after just a year or two and some networking

Does your clerkship end in the summer? Some places start hiring a year out (though that’s more biglaw in nyc than anything). You may want to consider the regional law firms too, as mentioned above. It’s more likely they would value your state appellate experience than a national firm, who may look more federal.
A round about way to possibly try to get into biglaw is to pair your current clerkship with a second one, possibly state Supreme Court or federal. May be tough as most judges at that level hire a year or 2 in advance, but firms look at those kind of clerkships more favorably
if it's not the high court in the state--and if you really want biglaw--I would consider trying for that first (or better still, an art.III clerkship)
