Hi, I’m in the early stages of building a B2B SaaS business in a field I have 6 years of solid expertise in.

I am scared that if I fail in 3, 6, o 9 months (after putting the startup on my LinkedIn and going all in on it)… that I’ll be unemployable or have to settle for bad opportunities. I have good experience but have left a few places within 1-1.5 years (covid, redundancies etc). 29 y.o.

If you’ve been in or around a similar situation please let me know your input.

For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business? I’m currently working at a Series B startup and my end goal has always been to found my own startup, but I graduated from college 2.5 years ago and I still have not had any great ideas cross my mind. So, I just joined a startup. No processes, no clear strategy, just one goal: selling. Getting leads. When ever I try to build a strategy, they (founders) swamp me with blablabla stories and not a single action plan. Is this the usual at startups? Also,no real company culture. At all. No HR. Really confused as to whether to incorporate my NY- based makeup startup as an LLC or an S-corp? Not based in NYC if that matters and no revenue yet. Should I be looking into Delaware at all (specifically a Delaware C-Corp) if I do plan on raising capital at some point down the line?
