I just have to say how amazed I am at the helpfulness of the KPMG community on this bowl. Definitely have a good feeling about exploring this opportunity already. Thank you all.
Your looking for the IT Center of Excellence in the strategy practice.
Our levels are associate- senior associate - manager - director - managing director (non equity partner) - partner.
We go from manager to director. We have a deal advisory practice.

Just as a heads up, you’ll likely face being brought in as a highly paid M rather than an experienced hire Director. Unless you have a strong background to prove you can hit the ground running (sales targets, managed revenue...etc)
Thank you K4.
Is it two different practices for DD and M&A? Are there different groups of leadership?
Either way, how is leadership? How is the team and culture?
One team but it does seem to be getting siloed between DD and other m&a work. Culture is great. Everyone is very helpful, including leadership. Most of the MD/Ps can actually do the work too, which to me is encouraging.
Lmk if you need a referral, happy to facilitate! The deal practice is deal advisory and strategy. The role in which you’re seeking sits within the deals group. If you have any other questions, DM and I can assist
I can’t do that KPMG 7. And if you were kidding, that was funny. 😊
Are you more interested in pre-sign (e.g. ITDD) or sign to Close / post Close phases? We're looking for primarily pre-sign right now, but definitely open to strong resources who have a technical background and understand the M&A life cycle.
I would caution trying to come in as a director, expectations are that you have relationships with the other strategy or diligence teams and can help feed more work.
Thanks for all the inputs guys. I want to try my luck with a Director role because I don’t see the point of a lateral move. The salary bump will probably be minor and I’ll end up having to build my firm network from scratch. Too much pain for not enough gain IMO.

So I’ve been scouring the KPMG Careers site for a couple of hours now and it looks like the role I’m seeking will be “Director, Strategy/M&A Execution”. The role, for whatever reason, is listed under 5 different requisition codes. I didn’t find any differences in location or industry affiliation. In fact the role doesn’t list an industry affiliation. I’ll DM you K2 about the referral offer. If anyone has thoughts on why the same role is listed multiple times, please let me know. Thank you again for all your help.

We are always looking for the right resources and are currently hiring. The one thing is we don’t usually except in very very rare cases hire people at a different level than they currently are at. Why do you believe that you need to be at the next level when you are not at that level in your current job is a question that you will need to answer.
Let me know if would like to chat or need a referral.
