McKinsey & Company Any advice to help prepare for data science analyst role at top consulting firms (McKinsey & Company EY Boston Consulting Group etc)? Industry can be a double edge sword. Both agenda driven and good personal development. I remember someone on here saying getting to a certain point in a career is a “war of attrition”. Remember that because as much as you are there to support others and have a good culture amongst peers guard yourself and still keep your own goals and values close to yourself.

“Industry” is a generic term used by consultants to describe any company that isn’t consulting. Which is 99.99% of jobs. It’s hard to give advice when the question is effectively “I got a new job. Any tips?”

Have an appropriate set of hobbies ready you can start doing at 6pm
Share your new work email with partners of the consulting firm. You may be a able to get a free meal here and there
