Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Never worked there but had a very negative experience during an initial chat with a recruiter after they reached out: they asked me for my current salary info, I said I am most set on finding the right opportunity in terms my skills and further career development but if they want to compare my expectations against their salary range, they can tell me the range and I will advise whether it makes sense to continue. The recruiter then said they do not share ranges with candidates and said he would need my salary details to proceed if I wanted to. I thanked him for his time saying I will have a think and contact him if interested and never contacted him again.
That’s a great point Deloitte 1, I don’t think there is an approach that fits all situations!
Wonder if it was the approach and attitude?
I have definitely had some recruiters that are simply fishing for data for benchmarking vs actually interested in considering me for a role. Those I tend to ignore and write-off. Others I’ll share with in return for what they think I could get in the market (headhunter rather than internal mind you)
This was their in-house recruiter. As I said, they were not willing to provide me with a range first.
I was very polite throughout the call and did not point out that I did not like their approach. Just never contacted them again afterwards.
Hi OP,
I ve worked at FTI for a few years in the London office.
My answer will depend a lot on the segment you are talking about.
Usually they are all among the top in their niche. So reputation is great … in their field. Doesn’t necessary translate in great opportunities as most of these departments are niche as I mentioned, so out of Forensic team not that many options, out of Corporate Finance much more.
Some have very fun culture, others more toxic.
Most teams have a decent WLB (some have an average of 50h over the year with some peaks, some where you will rarely even work past 7).
So tell me which department and I can tell you a bit more specifically
Hi! I have an interview set this week, with the energy/ Economic and Financial consulting for the Paris office. Could you please share with me more details on the culture there? Want to avoid any potential toxic culture if it exits
Hi! I am still new on this app. How can we chat in PM? (They are asking me 11 likes)
