Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. When renting a condo from an owner, I was asked to pay a $150 move-in fee to the building which I thought makes sense, but then I am being told to also pay a $500 non refundable move in fee to the owner but he is not wanting a security deposit. Just moved into an apartment in Old Town. The insulation for both sound and heat is terrible. I can hear everything going on outside and am nervous that the heat/gas bill will be insane.
