What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

Just here to say that single moms are absolutely superhuman.
I was told I was hard to work with. I had my 4 month old at home with me. Had to stop breastfeeding because I couldn’t keep up. So we will see if I have a job in a couple months. It will come back. Jobs will be back.
Is your kid older? Mine is a toddler and I have no time to do anything.
Ahh. My kid is about the same age. My spouse and I are both not working but our place isn’t big and it’s just a lot. Naptime is when I exercise and look for jobs and then it’s basically back to entertaining the monster until one of us cracks and puts the tv on. I’m not sure how I would be doing a full time job right now.
Single mom to a 4 year old and lost my last client on April 24th so officially unemployed. It’s been hard bc we have no family nearby. Very worried as well as I don’t get help financially from her dad and he also lives out of state. Have been working with an ex-colleague on some ‘for equity’ start-ups in hopes one of them results in a little down the road. Definitely a tough time and don’t feel guilty about TV time! There are days I don’t allow it and others I just need a break so I let her watch it so I can do things
Reach out to chat anytime if you want to chat with another unemployed single toddler mama 🙂
Single mom to a 9yr old and it has been tough. Grateful that I still have work but with a pretty good pay cut. Hang in there to everyone who has posted so far. Give yourself a break because you are all amazing!! Sweat it out, laugh it out, cry it out, eat it out. Most importantly get-up!! Just rising for another day is a moment to celebrate! Cheers to you!
I’m a single mom to a ten year old, grateful to be working from home, but the distance learning is killer. By the end of the day I’m fried. Too much TV, NetFlix watching, but it’s keeping both of us sane. God help me when school ends...
