I am a retail designer with about 4.5 YOE started in exhibit/trade show design, and now do experiential retail for hospitality and attractions. Been working as an Assistant Technician for 3 years (2 years excluding pandemic) pay is £21k now £22 adjusted for inflation. I’m curious to know if anyone has experience working part-time in architecture? I have been working for large international firms in NYC for the past 10 years. So I work all day every day. My evenings and often the weekends are all absorbed by work duties. Working part-time would allow me to find a better balance, and carve out space for side gigs and eventually start my own firm. Any recommendations?
