born and raised and still live in nashville. if you are looking for the more scenic things- go check out natchez trace, radnor lake, hike at warner parks, check out cheekwood, visit the parthenon, visit downtown franklin, walk the pedestrian bridge, fort negley, and for real, go eat - tons of good food.
You can rent a pontoon on Percy Priest if you want a lake day. Or take a walk around Radnor Lake. Otherwise some good waterfall hikes within an hour of town.
Check out Nashvilleguru.com! They have plenty of ideas on things to check out, including events
Former Nashville resident here. Definitely make plans to go to Radnor Lake. It’s just south of downtown and has hiking trails of varying difficulty (one is not difficult at all). It’s a nice serene walk through the woods surrounding a lake. You never know who you might run into there. I came across the guy from American Pickers one time. Have fun on your trip!
