So I have around 8 years of experience in graphic and motion design using Adobe tools, cinema4D drawing a 14LPA CTC but now I am looking to switch over to UI design, I do have a google certificate for the course and working knowledge of Figma as I took up some personal projects.

I have been applying for mid senior level jobs in UI, should I reconsider and apply on fresher UI jobs or will my prior experience be valid while switching over.

Looking for some guidance or opportunities.

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?

I have received 3 offers from 3 companies for PM role in the last week with my preferred company offering the least.

Currently going to school for my cannabis certification but I rarely see any jobs that offer cannabis research.
