Alarm at 6:30. Running by 6:45. Done at 7:30-8. Shower, food, at client by 8:45/9. Work til 6. Running by 6:15. Done at 7:30. Shower, food. Back online at 8:30. Bed at 10:30. That’s 10.5 hours of work assuming a half hour lunch. And 8 hours of sleep. And 2-2.5 hours of running. Adjust as needed. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
Oh I’m just giving you a sample schedule. I run 50 miles a week (40ish off season, up to 75 season, two seasons a year) regularly and I can fit in all kinds of runs. Depends on whether I’m doing a rest day or a long workout or a short workout...I’ve set a 4:30 alarm before to get a long run in that had to happen on a weekday. 🤷🏻♀️
A: I go to the office as early as possible (6-7am), already wearing my gear, claim the best spot to sit all day 😎), run, shower, work.
B: I take my running gear to the office and go running straight after work, return to the office, shower there then leave.
I find that getting ready at the office takes far less time than home/hotel, plus running with a colleague is a great way to get to know them.
Good stuff. I need to get back to this kind of disciplined approach. Have been logging longer miles on weekends but weekday traveling has wreaked havoc on my schedule.
Yeah I have had the same issue. Consistency during the week is key
