Holding Co HR people please answer: Why do you blackball people who were fired from an agency in your network from working at other agencies? What if it was a just a bad fit?

Hi ! Looking for advice. I’ve been with a company in BC for 2.5 years, started support role, promoted to smb AE a year ago. salary is 65k with uncapped commission. We recently did layoffs, I was kept however there have been changes & meeting quota has become difficult & we have a way heavier workload. The perks are amazing but I need to make more money. Do you think I could get a role with more money with my experience that’s fully remote even in this “recession”..thoughts?

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

I was fired for missing deadlines for 1. A response to a motion that hadn’t been filed (still hasn’t) 2. Writing a difficult petition in 24 hours after another associate took 6 days to submit a blank form. Both times deadline was missed by less than 2 hours, while hospitalized (I have a disability). He knew of the hospitalization and said “he didn’t care about the reason I needed more time.” He came to my hospital room to get the company computer and no other attorney was fired. Is this fair?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

There is lots of companies really taking a hit in the tech space. Is this something that people are nervous about? Many seem to still be having a hiring push but with the button falling (IMO this is still just start we have a long way to go to bottom out) will that halt and layoffs ensue? And if so, which depts do you think will get hit the hardest?

@PWC is worst company for freshers. They are force innocents to resign by themselves and threating then to not to mail anyone and not share this context to anyone worst company, if layoff means ok removing and threatening to not to disclose to anyone means the have lost every single moral. Don't fall trap in the brand name @PWC.

Had a recruiter reach out to me. We set up a time to chat. They emailed me two minutes before the call to reschedule. I proposed a new time - didn’t hear back. Followed up a day after that. Heard back, they apologized and asked for new availability. I responded and a day later, they sent another meeting invite for a call. No email, just a meeting invite. I accepted the meeting. As I waited by my phone, they never called. I know ghosting happens but this… I’ll consider it a bullet dodged.
