I'm contemplating going through my company's process of changing my primary residence to a middle-america state with lower COL. The office that I'd remain reporting to is in a HCOL area. The interesting thing is that the new area is tiered at same level as my current area.

Have any fish had experience doing this? Was it worth the occasional flight back to your home office? Any noticeable difference in your taxes at the end of the year?

Anyone still wants to rent the apartment at their home office city, but only stays around 4-8 days per month? Or it’s better to just move around where the project requires us to travel to?

Married fish… We both use our at home office frequently and desperately need a new chair…Sometimes my husband will say we spent too much money but then when we desperately need another office chair and I text him a cheap one he says well maybe we should get a nicer one since that we can keep for a couple years and that we actually like. Got an interview opportunity from an Europe based consulting firm. Cleared the first round and waiting for final round. It's a contract opportunity with compensation of 300 euros per day. I have couple of queries -

A friend of mine got an offer for a consultant role in Advisory, Product Operations and Procurement team and has read some horrible reviews on Quora. He is currently working with Accenture.
