Hey fishes
I have received two mails from Tiger Analytics one is a case study and
other sql assessment
In case study it is mentioned to
submit within 3 days but for sql
assessment nothing is mentioned
Anyone have idea for it's timelines
Also it would be really helpful if any
experience is shared regarding what
kind of questions are expected for
this assessment.

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

How much is your rent? That’s a big factor when it comes to NY living. 92k is very reasonable and I think you wouldn’t have to worry about living well if you keep your total rent (utilities included) under ~2300. My situation is similar and I’ve never had to budget things out. I eat out quite frequently and have never not been able to do anything I wanted.
So let me get this straight. You want to take a 17% paycut to live in a city that's 30% more expensive? Repeat that in your head.

You’ll still be eating ramen noodles.
NY has better ramen
Wait so you’re essentially taking a 20% pay hit in order to be in New York? doesn’t seem worth it to me, but if you really want to live that NYC life you can definitely make it work on that salary
Come to DC and just take a bus or train to NYC every once in a while with the pay increase. Lots of opportunities for young people in DC.
What firm are you joining
All of my friends and I survived just fine starting out at $65k (no bonus) and living in the city. You won’t be living paycheck to paycheck at that salary if you budget right
EY3 - other than my parents paying for my college tuition so I wouldn’t have student loans, I was on my own after I graduated. 2017 and we all had roommates. We were all relatively close to being pay check to pay check at that salary but still survived. If we made it off that, even 92k is more than enough with a roommate (assuming you’re not constantly blowing all your money eating out at restaurants every day)
😂😂😂 im born and raised in NYC and I don't see the hype not taking my hard earned money to pay unreasonable rent prices
