Additional Posts in Accounting Exit Opportunities
Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

You need to sell your experiences. Be ready to talk about 5-6 experiences you have had in the job that are based on how you solved a problem and provided results. Difficult client, complex problem, short staffed, tight deadline, automated routine process, etc.
Looking for comments and not just likes 😅
Have found it can be a mix of behavioral as well as technical in the way of asking you to do an assignment or asking you to walk through a standard you’re familiar with etc.
Mix of behavioral still and just explaining your work experience more thorough
Some are standard behaviorals, but I found that it’s more about what you have on your resume and your experience and any questions you may have.
I personally find interviews with experience much easier since I can ask better, more specific questions and have more to discuss than in college.
Right - because it’s just straight behavioral when applying for your first Job. Okay that makes sense
