How are people finding jobs at indie agencies?? I barely see any mid-career postings on LinkedIn/Glassdoor/etc and when I do they’re usually at giant agencies owned by holding co’s. Dreaming of going somewhere a little less corporate.

I'm in Silicon Valley, and been in the industry for about 15 years now. Fell into the corporate in-house role and been in those ever since. I primarily do marketing/brand design. I'd love to get to AD level, but I think my main issues has been that I rock the boat a lot and don't play the "corporate game well", piss off the wrong people. Does anyone have any advise for how to advance in corporate environement while keeping the integrity of creative alive?
