How are you preparing your teams for AI? I’d love to hear how other leaders are approaching it - are you investing in AI tools, training your teams, or taking a wait-and-see approach?

I ask employees to use and integrate AI as much as they can. Point them to learning resources.

It’s the greatest productivity tool since accountants got calculators. Not using it would be silly.

I've been encouraging people to explore the possibility of incorporating AI into the work. But to be honest, I'm skeptical about what it could actually do for us. This reminds me of way back when companies all tripped over themselves to get websites, and most of those early sites were pointless, they just had contact info like a business card. Until we really have a use for it, I'm not sure AI will live up to the hype. Maybe someday.

We have a company developed training curriculum that I asked everyone on my team to complete. I also requested accounts for them in our company instance of ChatGPT and gave them a few hours (~10 or so) to play with it.

At the end of the day, LLMs are in their infancy. I want, expect, and enable my team to get smart on the tech so we can incorporate it as makes sense, in an intelligent way.

we’re focusing on using AI to optimize campaigns and improve content creation. We’ve invested in tools for customer segmentation, automated social media scheduling, and AI-driven analytics. I’m also scheduling workshops to upskill the team on AI-powered tools like copywriting assistants and data analysis platforms.

Company developed training programme has been rolled out and also used to sell clients. I’m 50+ and absolutely love it. My experience is that people with a lot of experience are much better at getting useful results - our seniority has learned us what to look for and how to weigh in other data points etc

My remit quadrupled+ in a recent re-org with no increase in pay/promotion, my new director is new to the company and was zero help, and I was passed over for recent promotion during the comp cycle. The new director essentially began shutting me down any time I ask for clarity in my career progression. Now they have taken credit for the project I’ve been building over the past year+ without giving me props whatsoever to higher ups. What is the best plan of action here?

Our annual reviews are approaching & one of my direct reports has been with us for almost six years w/ little growth. My reco was to let him go & find a stronger, hungrier & more motivated designer at the same level. However, my boss instead wants us to promote him in hopes that will spark some motivation. I am not behind this decision & have voiced my multitude of concerns in promoting an employee who doesn't deserve it. HR is behind the decision! Thoughts on promoting an undeserving report?

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.
