How can I game-plan/roadmap myself to being a PM in Tech?

I love being a PM, and I don't love that my company wants to switch me off of my role to another role as a CRM Manager. It's a higher paying role that I'll gladly take, but comes with other responsibilities that I don't love long-term.

I eventually want to PM in Tech or Product Manage in Tech - I'm very good with technology even though it isn't in my background. The first project I ever managed was an ERP/CRM software implementation.

6 years in public accounting, manager 2. Is a financial reporting manager at a $2billlion SEC company a good position to transition into? Your thoughts pls.

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I just finished my first round and the interviewer told me what the second round would be, asked if he could use my case study, and then suggested I speak slower next time so the next interview could follow it on pen and paper. Thought the process is round 1-2 behavioral and 3 is case study?
