I think right now the most important thing is being open to experimentation in a safe way. We don't know what really works yet. We are at the same stage we were when 56k connection was mainstream. Any page with images took 10 minutes to load. It is hard to see that working when tech is limited. In the next years it will be more precise and fast, and we'll be able to benefit from using this tool. I see it as a horizontal skill that will be required for every role, just like using a computer is today.
I don’t expect everyone to be an AI expert. What matters is how you use it. Can you explain where it helped, where it failed, and how you validated the output? In interviews, clear thinking and judgment matter more than fancy prompts.

You don’t need to be an AI engineer. Show that you can use tools like ChatGPT or Claude to improve your work: writing, analysis, brainstorming, research. Give 1–2 examples of how you’ve used AI to create value. That’s enough to stand out
Not sure why people's minds are blown when they see me use AI.
My favorite course in college was Discrete Math. Who knew that knowing how to talk in proofs would payoff with using AI. I also mix with SQL convention and works like magic.
