How difficult is it to move to MBB from Big4? I just joined PwC after graduating, and my GPA probably wasn’t good enough to get interviews at MBB the year prior, so I’m wondering if it’d be even more difficult to apply to MBB now or a year from now

Same question, I joined D as grad. Is it possible to move to MBB from D? And normally, how long should I stay in D/which level should I reach to before starting to make the move?

Get a strong referral who can get you an interview. After that it’s up to your performance

What role and group at PwC

like

Better odds coming from DDV than other groups. You should spin it as more than transformations thought

like

Previously PwC here (no referral either) 🙋‍♂️ possible with a strong CV and can demonstrate you got good exp at pwc

like

You should be able to get interviews, but MBB is difficult in general

It's not impossible but you need to be an extremely strong performer in B4 and have some kind of lateral experience we are looking for and willing to go down 1 level.

Got an offer from MBB and they want me to start before summer 2021, is it possible to push it to later in the year like after Christmas 2021? I would come in the same level as me previous firm, so pretty much ignoring my past experience, not sure if that matters

Good morning!

Still trying to figure out this whole Fishbowl thing, so here goes my first post.

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Any input on employers is appreciated!

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). I have been assured I will become SM in next year (currently 31 years old).

Need advice:
I have done my graduation in electronics and post that joined core electronics company as engineer. After 4 years decided to go for post graduation and switched to BA. 6 years into IT services and I am currently working as PO. I really want to join product company but I am not getting any response. I don't have any domain expertise but have worked in industries like healthcare, retail etc.
It feels something is missing in my resume. How did you guys land product manager jobs?

When would be the right time for me to get an MBA given my background?

I was a teacher for 4 years and transitioned into the corporate world. I have 6 months experience in marketing and that’s what I currently do, but plan for a lateral move in the future. I’ve seen suggestions of 3-7 years experience - does my teaching experience factor in? Or should I consider the 3-7 years only of my corporate time? Or is an MBA sooner a good move because of my big career transition (and future lateral)?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
