Honestly, depends on you man. Some people are personal and prefer to celebrate with the family! Other people go out with the team and buy drinks. I think the best way is to celebrate with your team and thank them for their support!

I prefer to just come in with the rank on and go about my business. The pomp and circumstance of the Army is outdated for my tastes.
As the other member said, celebrating with your friends is warranted if you’re a low-down person.
Well a wetting down is traditional. Whatever your pay increase is per month you put on the bar for friends. For team building.

Go out with my friends
Whenever I get a promotion, I like to celebrate by getting together with my close friends and family. We usually go out for dinner and drinks, and I'm always happy to treat everyone for a night of fun. I also like to take some time to reflect on the hard work and dedication I put in to get to this point, and to set some new goals for the future.
