Is coinbase remote or in office?
Hi Guys,
I have joined Ofss 1 week back and on second day itself I was allocated to project and onboarding WIP I received mail stating to report back to office 3 days per week under hybrid work model policy.Is this compulsory my base location is 2600 km from my current location as I am joining the citi project its seems difficult for me to grasp things though I have only 1 yr of prior exp by I think my team is expecting a lot so moving to new city and learning at same time is not possible .

Was it promised during recruitment stage? Maybe they were used to hybrid working and now you’re denying them if it? World has changed, it’s not an unreasonable ask even for a new joiner.
I would understand if he would have to meet with clients face to face to perform his job. But if it is because the company "wants to build meaningful relationships," I would disagree that he needs to be in the office. Companies that do not adapt will disappear because they will not attract top talent; if they do, the top talent will not work happily. Unfortunately, the decisions of WFH are managed by different generations than the upcoming ones.

What was their reason for requesting this? Perhaps they work more efficiently that way. It's not too ridiculous of a request as most of us have gotten used to working hybrid.
Do they have a good reason?
To avoid a hasty decision, try to evaluate the conditions within your company first as well as the role and position of the person making the request. Personally though, I think it's still too soon for such request.
Does your company allow that setup? Or maybe he has a hybrid role? May I know what's his/her reason for asking/requesting a wfh setup?
