Work where I live or live where I work🤔

Microsoft Received some feedback yesterday that I’m “Too smart for the role and they feared that I’d get bored and leave quickly. “ It’s honestly the most confused I’ve ever left a call. Does anyone know what this means? I thought it was a compliment initially but in retrospect it just doesn’t seem very genuine. Have y’all had anyone hit you with this one?

I say don’t hide it. Be authentic. Show up as a proud working momma. You are doing two incredible things: being a kick-a$& lawyer and creating a beautiful little life. Own that. 😉
Keep peanut butter crackers in your pocket and a small trash can with a plastic liner under your counsel table. I never used the latter but I got dang close.
Also rub your belly occasionally. It adds sympathy from the jurors and can offset any negative feeling from you looking tired or missing any technical detail.
Oh also, in case of emergency (like when you really feel like you’re going to vomit), bring some isopropyl alcohol pads and sniff them. It works. It might be weird in a trial, but maybe not as weird as vomiting.
I second this!! Lifesaving
I agree with what some of the others have said - don't hide it and don't apologize for it. I'd bring some crackers and water/ginger ale (or whatever makes you feel better) and maybe a little bag just in case you do get sick and just tell them upfront that you're pregnant and dealing with morning sickness so you've brought provisions and precautions to help. Own it and don't let them take your power away over it. Your a pregnant working woman, that is nothing to be embarrassed about.
I couldn’t hide it during a multi day depo. I wasn’t even showing but opposing counsel knew. She was mean to me the whole case except day two of a depo. She brought me ginger snaps. I’ll never forget that kind gesture. 🥹 She went back to being a jerk after I returned from leave though. lol.

I was miserably sick for weeks. My doctor put me on Bonjesta at night and it worked miracles.

I used tummy tamer ginger lozenges to get through a deposition before I told my employer I was pregnant. Make sure you eat something!
Ugh, I feel for you—I had morning sickness during one of my biggest trials too. Lots of crackers and peppermints helped me as well. You’ll get through this!
Sorry, don't have an answer for that one.
Zofran. Tons of it.
