USI Insurance brokerage and consulting - thoughts? A recruiter reached out to me via linked in and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this company. They seem to have decent reviews on Glassdoor but I was hoping to get more insight into workload and comp. Thanks in advance! USI

Amaze-balls is the technical term
But not in all models
Excellent parental leave and PTO but weak 401k match. Deloitte justifies it by giving you a pension but the pay out is not great unless you stay at the firm for a long time
Well the average turnover for a consultant is what...like two years. I'm sure that goes into the vesting calculation. The 401K is definitely weak as is the pension. I get trying to use it as a retention tool but that's a shady way to operate.
Poor. We do not have paid maternal leave at all. 0
Yes you do! As I said earlier in this thread. I have a friend who is a Sr Manager, had her baby in June 2019 I think. She got 12 weeks fully paid
Does BCG have a pension?
Fixed benefit? Not that I’m aware of.
Retirement is 5% of base and bonus for A/Cs, 10% for PL/P, and 15% for Partners. All immediately vested. The average new PL (5th year post u/g or 3rd post MBA) is getting $25k in retirement. And of course Partners have equity (hopefully appreciates) that they sell back over time. And Senior Partner get healthcare for life
Surprised nobody’s mentioned well-being subsidy/discounts...Deloittes is pretty good - get to expense half of anything towards physical activity/well-being up to $500. I wish the amount was higher cause I want to be able to afford an equinox membership!
It’s taxed so it’s like 70% of 500
Health coverage is pretty good... 401k is comically bad... parental leave seems about average... vacation is average or below.. lifestyle is above average due to lower travel needed
It’s okay. No 401k employee matches for entry level employees until after you get promoted to Senior Consultant (wtf). Dental coverage isn’t the best. Healthcare coverage is legit though
Agree acn has great benefits.
- Insurance: I know my healthcare plans and experiences various types at other firms, and EY’s UHC plan is pretty good in the NE. A lot of my expensive medication is covered for the most part so also pleased about that.
- 401K Options: As of rejoining in 2019, the portfolio is much better than before. Actually pleased. :-)
- 401K match: Average.
- Maternity and paternity leave: Don’t have a kid, but colleagues tell me it’s pretty good.
- Pension: Great if you’re willing to stay for 5+ years
- PTO: Can’t complain...
German here, what age you taking about? All good 😂🤔
I wish they would match or at least contribute to our 401K.
So far I am happy with the Health insurance and PTO.
I am unsure of the parental leave policy.
It’s amazing
Seeing a lot of PwCer saying it is bad. Healt insurance has gone down over the 15 years at the firm BUT compare to other industries or large companies it is still better then my friends at FT500. Parental in NJ is sick. Took 6 months fully paid. 401k match is crap but we have a pension...others do not. Bonuses are solid, for performers. I can’t complain. Holidays, unlimited sick for employee and family. Caregiver needs are met. Took care of my mother who had cancer with no questions off on chemo weeks/days. “Oh shit fund” for unexpected daycare covered. That’s amazing. Used it for sitters on weekends, nanny vacations or daycare closures. There is a lot that people don’t tap into. Use the t you will be amazed
Pretty good in comparison to other organizations
Rising Star
Crappy
About to retire after a long career here. I personally think the benefits are great other than health insurance being too expensive.
Better than most.
We can use better 401K options
You really need to see the choices other companies provide. Vanguard Primecap, Vanguard International Growth, and the T Rowe Price Growth (forget the exact name right now) are awesome and cheap.
amazing
health insurance is not good at all. just had a baby and i have been told its going to a year before the BCBS will pay the hospital because of some sort of dispute. The hospital wants me to pay 23K out of pocket and wait to get reimbursed by the insurance company until they straighten it out LMAO
Love love love. Unlimited PTO over here (& we’re encouraged to take it)
Right lol
Overall, TCS benefits are really good, esp health insurance. Parental leave would be the exception (in the US) - non existent except where required by law.
