How do you find short term contracts for FAANG companies? I would never want to work for a FAANG company in-house full time, it’s too unstable. Smaller companies are it! But I would be amiss if I said I didn’t want a brand name on my resume for ATS purposes and to make the job hunt easier when it’s time to look. I’ve seen people who land 2-3 month contract roles at Meta, IG, Apple etc and would love the same. Even if I work nights/weekends just to get the brand name. Where should I look?

I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

Anyone out there who left their previous job for a new one have any advice or life experience to share?
