Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Hi,
I had received a shortlisting call from Axis Bank. The HR told me link will be shared where I need to update my documents.
I didn't receive any link and HR confirmed that there is some system issue hence link has not come.
Now, it has been 4-5 days, HR is not receiving my calls.
Is someone aware about such issue with Axis Bank HR portal? Axis Bank Ltd

I have met plenty of people who were “qualified” for their roles and grossly underperformed. Are you passionate and willing to work your butt off? If so, you will be fine! GO FOR IT.
I’ll go a little against the grain here.
If you truly feel unqualified (as in, even with 12-18 months of training and on-the-job experience you will not be able to succeed), really evaluate whether this job is the right fit. While you want to strive for the next step and passion can get you very far, you also do not want to shoot yourself in the foot and risk failure because you do not have the appropriate skills to make it. It’s okay to tell yourself that you’re not yet ready for that stage.
I’ve had conversations like this with the recruiter and hiring manager before. They were adamant about wanting me to join the organization and helped me develop a training plan that set me up for success.
If it’s a role that you can reasonably move into with long 6-12 months, take the job and work hard to succeed. Above all, be realistic with your capabilities and comfort level. You don’t want to be struggling to keep up on the basic things every single day - you want to be challenged to grow and feel competent in your role. Good luck!
Do it. You’ll learn a ton either way.
Do it!

Fake it til you make it is pretty much the only way to advance in this industry

Here’s the thing. One day you were an ACD. The next day you were a CD. You weren’t magically different or better at your job from one day to the next. You had to figure it out.
If Kanye can “run for President” you too, can do whatever job this is. Go boldly! Be open to feedback, take notes. You got this. 🍓
Getting the job and being able to do it well aren’t always one and the same. Maybe OP doesn’t want to destroy their employer as Donald Trump has.

Do you already have a job? If not, take this one. If you are employed, you could sit this one out and potentially let someone who is more qualified and who really needs this, get a job. Another contraversal opinion, but something to consider in these times of mass layoffs.
Do it. It’s good to be a bit over your head, you’ll give yourself the opportunity to rise to the occasion.
GO FOR IT!!!!
Just go for it. Most people in leadership roles are not qualified. There's a whole psychology behind it. (Look at POTUS now.) In a very quick nutshell, the people who are qualified are constantly doubting themselves, and striving to make themselves better. That's why they don't get into the CD position. The ones who don't care go for it.
Go for it. You'll grow into it. Especially since you're already aware of your shortcomings. Also, remember that most everyone has imposter syndrome. I read sometime back that like 70-80% of CEOs have imposter syndrome.
