Interviewed with Kearney in the Middle East at the same time I was recruiting for McKinsey (US). Took them a week to get back to me with a rejection email and didn’t offer feedback even when I reached out to thank the interviewers and asked for it. Are MBB the only consulting firms that give candidates feedback?

I applied for a role a few days ago and found the relevant hiring manager today via LinkedIn. Should I send a follow up mail/introduce myself to this person. Would it leave a good impression or come across as desperate?
