Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

I had a similar situation at work and I ended up resigning. I would suggest keeping a record of any messages, emails, try making a paper trail if you can.
Yeah it’s really aweful, I hope it gets better for you! Perhaps have a chat with HR and see what your options are
Why is your boss saying “I know it takes you longer to understand things”? Is that because you’re a woman?? Totally uncool! I would talk to your boss’s boss if possible and get this documented for the future.
Yes I am a woman and so is the manager. I am afraid to talk to her boss because I am new to the team and the whole leadership chain has been friends for the last 20+ years. Plus my manager will decide my performance score at the end of the year which will decide my bonus, possibility of promotion, and even influence my opportunity to apply internally to other positions. I honestly don't know how to address this situation.
Document everything. Send yourself an email (so it’s timestamped/dated) of situation and what was said.
I also like the advice someone else commented on sending recaps to your manager after ANY conversation, especially if you don’t keep 1-on-1 notes or meeting notes. You could state something like “I want to make sure I’m understanding what we discuss and are on the same page. I’m sending notes after our conversations so I can reference back and you can check for accuracy”. Then, use exact quotes she says noted as “feedback” in your recaps.
In reality you’re experiencing an abusive work environment and it sounds like you don’t feel like you’ll be heard if you go to anyone for help. Your boss’s position of power being held over you (pay raise, promotion etc.) is not cool. Once you get a paper trail of these situations and there is a pattern of her behavior, you can either discuss it with her leader or take it to HR (if you trust) for advice.
If you don’t trust it’ll be fixed or change, and you don’t feel it’s a safe place to advocate for yourself (either to Senior leaders or HR), it might be time to search for a new job.
Coach
you send summary of the call via email
Coach
it depends on your level of escalation.
if you already in open conflict - you can summarise in en email ysing exact bulling phrases they used you mentioned that "i am ...." (i am doubting this is a,way as u need several cases documented before u escalate)
if you still consolidate info and later you will presentbit to HR and Ethical committee, you can do it in word doc"
date, time, wgat exatcly they said, tone, how you felt, how it impacted you, ur mental and physical health, and work. you can include in that statistics not only things happening toward you but also toward orgers *descrimination, bulling, etc - read ur ethical code/re-do elearning for inspuration, there r more things
once you get several cases documented you escalate
so it does not mean that you will even show to that boss this thing at all
you need to decide what is ur strategy, stakeholdes and target outcome, also acceptable risks
if they chronically lie - in that case summary and send to them
