How do you stop yourself from the mindless snacking that comes with office work? My workspace is unfortunately positioned right next to the office breakroom, which is a constant revolving door of leftover catering, birthday cakes, and snack fun-packs. Yesterday afternoon, during a particularly mind-numbing data entry task, I found myself walking over there completely on autopilot.

Constantly remind myself that these snacks are not worth the empty calories. It’s all about self control.

You won’t be hungry for unhealthy snacks if you preplan your meals and make sure they are nutrient dense and high protein. If you’re having high protein meals you will have zero desire to snack between meals because protein is satiating. Aim for 30-40g protein per meal and you won’t even think about the break room.

I need advice from younger 🐠 who are closer to my son’s age than I am. He’s finishing up his 1st year in college and he’s gained the Freshman 15+. He plays a college sport, so he’s getting some activity, but with classes a hybrid of in-person and online, he’s not as active as usual and I think he’s enjoying unlimited food on his dining plan. Probably not the right bowl but don’t know where else to ask: for men in their late 20s/early 30s, is the style right now to wear belts? SO has been working out and gaining in his lower half so he’s getting better fitting pants/shorts that fit the new booty/thighs compared to what he used to own but his belts are suuuuuper old/falling apart so he’s debating whether to get more.

For example: I meal prep so I know calories and macros of all my meals without having to count each time M-F (unless going out with friends/SO) and I run first thing in the morning the same 4 days every week. Has this happened to anyone else? I used to eat a lot of unhealthy, processed foods a few months ago. I transformed my ways and have eaten quite healthy since. Today I ate some cookies and chips after a long time, and I feel like shit. Stomach upset, heavy chest and just really lethargic.
