How does a corporate card work? For example, if I’m charging something related to company expenses on my corporate card, what do I do next?

Think depends on ur company policy

like

You likely have to report what you charged and why back to your company, by filling out an expense report. Then the company pays your work-approved charges. They might pay it directly or they might reimburse you. That depends on you company .

Thank you!

I recently was let go (in lieu of accepting my two weeks) and I should have received my March expense check by the end of April per the employment agreement (submitted the report April 1, let go before mid April). I have emailed HR but haven't heard anything. I've got a feeling someone at the top is putting a hold on it.

How do I get my money from them? It's a few hundred dollars

Okay finance gurus, I have an idea and interested in your thoughts. Might be a bad one so be gentle 🙂. I have a 2 yr old and another on the way. Need to start planning for college. I was thinking of buying a condo or 2 in lieu of saving and selling them down the line for tuition. Condos downtown are pretty inexpensive (T3) so it’s financially feasible. But is this a good idea or too risky?

Hi all - any advice for a first time real estate investor looking to make their first purchase at the end of 2021.

I plan on saving $50K, for a $350-400K property in the Long Island, NY area for my first property. Does this sound reasonable? And does anyone have any experience & advice investing in the LI area?

Id like to rent it out for some positive cash flow that I can then start using to save for my 2nd property (sounds easy when I type it).

Thanks all for your input - stay safe!

Weekend thought as many of us watch our portfolios bleed away value as the market hit all time highs: stick with it. This is a very difficult time in the market so try to figure out what’s not working and fix it. Stick with your process while trying to improve it. That should you you in the best place to manage risk now and be positioned to capture new opportunities in the coming weeks and months. Discipline, execution, and patience are key sources of alpha. Best of luck.

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.
