One instance where it helps. I'm Indian and gay. My parents have been accepting, but they have been worried about the "scary world" out there for people like me (I am the only gay person they know and I had to explain to them what it means).
Seeing all these logos provides some comfort to them that it will be alright, that the world is more accepting than they had thought, and that I'll likely not be fired for being gay.
It is a data point of 1, but it helps me personally.

Appreciate this. I’m glad it helps you and hopefully many others feel accepted. Definitely gave me another perspective
It just irks me that the true intention isn’t really about this. I’m a minority myself and I just sometimes don’t like the idea of using us for PR.
The whole one month of X/Y/Z is usually BS as well. The corporate world Is just going with the flow

It doesn't. Changing a logo is way for C-suite to justify the "feedback" they've been collecting "from all stakeholders" to signal "a new way forward".
Also money for consulting firms.

It's virtue signaling and not what I want my company to focus on. It displays a follower mentality by the senior leadership and a lack of spine to stand up against the current trend of virtue signaling. I'd rather my company actually focused on improved the culture than simply take the easy route and posting stuff.
No different than posting a black square on Instagram.. Does nothing for the actual cause and it's all just an image being maintained for social media
I think its more of how you are perceived if you dont do it
You mean to tel me that BCG or McK didn’t come up with this concept?

It's helpful because it lets us know who gets uptight and offended by a mere logo change to support LGBTQ+.
Not offended, just see it as pandering. Doesn't help anything.
