Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

Wish I did the surgery sooner! Otherwise, upright mouse, ergonomic keyboard, wrist pads, arm braces for night. But if it's really bad, get the surgery
I use stress busters regularly.. n weights at gym :)
Depending on what repetitive motion is in play. Typing, use pipe insulation under your wrists to raise them slightly from usual. Turning twisting, change hands when possible, invert operation if available. There is a device, formally called DynaBee, DynaFlex... that is a wrist and arm exerciser. It works on gyroscopic principles and strengthens your hands and wrist and works those associated tendons and ligaments. I love it. The jungle place has it and other sports stores. Also, change jobs...
formerly, duh.
Reduce the amount of work you’re doing by making it seem like you’re doing way more than you are so all the real work you have gets shifted to someone else.
The initial symptoms disappeared for me when I started using a vertical mouse and placed something soft, like a towel, under my forearm.
I had to get surgery. It progressed so quickly that I have permanent damage to my nerves
The science of Ergonomics can show you how to avoid a lot of common physical problems, how to setup your workstation, proper ways to guard against pain and damage.
From my own experience going thru hell, Yes to these core ergo principles …
- upright mouse ( Evoluent Vertical Mouse ) and split ergo keyboard ( Goldtouch ).
- Elevate your monitor to eye level and have it straight in front of you when sitting at a desk.
- Make sure the desk is ergonomic height so your arms are parallel to ground and not bent when using keyboard and mouse.
- Get a decent chair that is fully adjustable.
- invest in standing for a chunk of the day. A full standing desk or just an attachment to adapt a regular desk to standing.
- Take breaks every hour to move around.
There are certain stretches you can do to keep those muscles flexible. They are online usually and you can get them from a physical therapist or yoga teacher too.
When I was 20% disabled early in my career, I got lucky with workers comp and they covered a lot of $$ to get better. I used acupuncture a lot, physical therapy and regular massage
Turns out Meditation and stretching are great to prevent it from becoming terrible and maintaining yourself after a flare up.
