Having a short first phase is not a problem as long as there is a leading follicle going upto 16mm+ in size. That indicates the egg in the follicle is mature. Also the lh peak is different for different women. It doesn’t need to be super high always. As long as it’s higher than your usual levels in the first part of the cycle, your body will complete the maturation process and trigger the egg’s release. Having a shorter luteal phase is an issue but a different one. I used to have really long first phase of my cycle so have chatted about this with my RE a few times until I was convinced that it was not a problem either way. Egg quality is a different issue. And the shorter first phase will not in and of itself reduce egg quality.
Mine is 24-26, but my first phase is only 10-11 days. I'm pretty sure this is the reason I can't conceive, because I did all possible checks and everything else was normal. Even when it's 26 days overall, it's still only 11 days before ovulation. If it was at least 12 days, it would probably be much better... How long are your phases? Has your cycle always been short? Are there any months when it's longer?
I recently read that too. There was a study that proved it but in my follicle studies, I have usually had a leading follicle measuring 16mm+ at around day 8 or 9 so not sure
Have you tried using ovulation strips? Are they positive?
Yes, they are but my peak levels are not very high and it’s a rapid decline after that
I think your cycle length matters less than your luteal phase length. When do you ovulate? I have a short luteal phase and everything else is normal so I think that there isn’t enough time for the egg to implant.

Same here, my luteal phase was short, I'd ovulate around day 22 and period would start within 7 days. My RE confirmed the above
Pro
Cycle length can definitely impact. I went to an acupuncturist who successfully brought my ovulation date back to 14 and pushed by cycle out to 27/28
That’s definitely interesting. Was that helpful in conceiving?
I’m no expert, but can that be a sign of irregular thyroid function and hypothyroidism?
I do have hypothyroidism and I have been on that medication for over a year but that has not changed my cycle length.
