If I would not wear the shirt/top to the office on a Monday through Friday, I would not wear the shirt/top on camera when working from home Monday through Friday.
Weekends, be happy I'm even working and wearing clothes haha
I like to use what I call my “work mullet”. Collar shirt and basketball shorts.

If it is a client, button up. If it is in house, t shirt will suffice.

It's always proper to present yourself professionally is the basic principle I follow.
You are an account manager ? No hoodie, no way, always be professional. You should at the very least be written up.
I once got messaged to turn my camera off because I was wearing a hoodie. This was in January, the heater was broken and I was WFH that day waiting for the repair man to come & fix the heater.

I’ve been remote for 5+ years now and I’m on camera every day for multiple hours. I also have a closet full of short sleeve, button down, casual dress shirts that I wear every single day. If it’s cold, I wear long sleeve shirts but I would never, ever, wear a hoodie on camera.

dress to match your clients. if they wear hoodies, go for it. if they don’t….don’t.

It is a crime against good taste and professionalism. If those things don't matter to you, then it isn't a problem.

Most of the Zoom or Teams meeting I have had over the last year or so, most people did not have their cameras on. The only people that had their cameras on were the people that were presenting. In this case it doesn't matter what I am wearing.
I wouldn't wear a hoodie but I throw a branded vest over most things and that works
