How is it considered ethical for a company to require analysts to work in parallel across multiple SOCs, managing separate clients and SLAs simultaneously, yet label it unethical for an analyst to hold two jobs in parallel?

In both cases, the same core concerns exist workload, focus, and performance. The difference seems to be who benefits from the arrangement. When the company does it, it’s framed as efficiency. When the analyst does it, it’s framed as misconduct.

So I’ve been with a court for a while and honestly the pay sucks compared to what paralegals should be making… the benefits are great though and they match my retirement 100% now that I’m vested at 3 years.I have 4 kids and 1 is getting ready for college. What is the standard yearly hike in IT Security industry in North America? I have worked for 7 months in Threat Intelligence in a company in Canada, and I got a yearly hike of just 3% in my first appraisal cycle. My manager says that you get 3% when you are meeting expectations but not going above and beyond. Is this the standard or am I being underpaid? According to me, I haven't gone above and beyond every day, but there are some things I did work on exceptionally well.
