How is KPMG culture like? (what do you like most or hate). If it helps, looking at customer service transformation.

Generally pretty solid folks where work life balance is respected. Some idiots at middle management level due to lack of up or out culture. Benefits could be better (401k match and health insurance are kind of shitty IMO but comparable to the other B4). I think you’ll feel a weight off your shoulders coming from a firm that nickels and dimes you. Overall pretty happy.

Thanks! Anymore? From a staffing perspective do they try to consider your preference?

Highly dependent on group and resource manager. In my old group I had very limited control, new group I have a ton of control. Either way the firm will work with you to get where you want. The fact that I was even able to successfully jump practices shows the dedication partners have to work together to keep talent around.

Question here - been at a new job for a bit and have discovered that the culture is extremely misogynistic. It’s been 6 months and I have had to go to HR twice. I want to leave, but don’t want to seem like a jumper - but then again, what does it say about a future employer if they judge me for leaving a bad work environment? Feeling conflicted. Thoughts ?

I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? Just interviewed for this job that sounds superficially good but I think will take me back to the work I did 10 years ago but will pay my target salary and will have a fancy title (VP). I don't really want to do this but I need a job, have run out of UI and don't want to deplete my savings to nothing waiting for the perfect job. If offered, should I take it and continue looking or will it look bad? Changed jobs within 1 year once already. At least this job would be spinnable for what I want.

Anyone know much about routers? My father in Leander has an incredibly fast Asus router, but his home is 7,000 sq ft and the signal completely dies when you go up the stairs to their mother in law suite where their tv is. Extenders don’t work well either. I suggested doing four Google mesh points but he wants to see if he can figure out with his current router. Anyone know how to set up an AiMesh router with Asus?
