@IBM .. He asked about HCL health insurance. If you know, you can respond directly.
I know for sure it's not more than 10 lakh and maybe less than 5 lakh. The point is choosing employer based on health insurance is pointless when you can buy one.
From service industry stand point, no company comes close to TCS in terms of health insurance benefits, I've worked in many of the IT companies, so know that aspect for sure.
Here are my 2 rupees: Don't rely on company's health insurance. most of the service based major MNC companies provide a coverage of less than 10 lakh. In today's world ,50 lakhs floater plan for family is the least amount one should have. Better pay some premium and buy a good health insurance.
Joining an employer based on health insurance doesn't make sense.
Not good, it depends on level and has co-pay. So not good
I have my personal health insurance. Thanks for the concern. But the point why am i asking is for enrolling of my mother. My mother also has external insurance but it was of 3.5 lakhs. Getting a health insurance of senior citizens with good coverage is costly and has lot of conditions. Thats why asking...If anybody has some info regd this please let me know
Here’s a forum-ready post you can use for that Glassdoor discussion:

I’ve personally gone through evaluating my health insurance using **BimaScore** and **Bima Analyze**, and one thing that really stood out is how corporate policies, like HCL’s, often look solid on paper but can leave gaps for individual needs. The sum insured may seem sufficient, but with rising treatment costs, it sometimes falls short. Also, once you leave the company, that coverage usually ends, which is something people often overlook.
Using **Bima Analyze** helped me see exactly where my coverage was strong and where it wasn’t, based on over 100 real-world factors, without uploading any documents. It gave me a clear score and highlighted areas I hadn’t considered. For anyone relying solely on corporate insurance, it might be worth checking your personal coverage too.
