Requirement is 1850. JL’s California officers struggle with employee turnover. From what I understand it is how the partners treat the associates.

I heard not great things at least during early COVID (chaos, not a lot of mentoring/guidance given to younger associates, not as advertised concerning bonuses). However, that was a few years ago. So I can’t speak to current status. Maybe things have changed. I don’t know the billable requirement.

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? It's about the time where everyone on my team requests feedback from each other and I'm nervous for it coming up. My manager knows that everything I've worked w her on I end up doing 90% of the work when it's meant to be split so it is a known issue. We're both at level 3 so are genuinely peers. I have a governmental entity client in Texas that wants to offer 6 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees, even those who aren’t eligible for FMLA. After the paid 6 weeks, the employee can choose to continue paid leave using any accrued personal leave.

Texas does not have a paid parental leave statute.

If paid leave above what is required is offered for parents, do we also have to provide the same benefit to other employees that are eligible for unpaid leave?
