At BNY analyst roles are higher than associate roles.
Would love to know which company you work for that it’s the other way around.
Interesting, at my firm its analyst before associate. The career path is pretty much what SVP above stated.

JPM2 that’s not a pervasive comment for IB analysts. Regardless of performance it’s typically 2-3 years organically (not jumping around to shorten).
If we have a rockstar analyst we may consider 18 months but that’s incredibly rare because chances are you’re going to lose them as soon as they’re an ASO.

3 years, but shortly after they transitioned to more of a 2 year program. They’re switching back to 3 now though
It also depends on location. For example, if you are in NYC you should be getting 175k- 200k as an associate.
2 years but within this time I also went on paternity leave (on my 1st year). It is not really about the time but about how you perform. If you are performing as at the next level already then you can achieve this sooner.
That’s impressive. How long was your paternity leave if you don’t mind me asking.
