I have 6 and half YOE in front end development. (angular and hybrid applications). I joined my current organization ( product based) in Feb for 24LPA. The work here is too stressful and there is absolutely zero WLB. So I decided to start looking out again. However I am not getting good interview calls. Are most companies not hiring now ? Or could it because my CTC is too high ?

My total experience is 5 in QA, I attended Deloitte interview. First round was technical and it went quite well, they asked lot of theory questions. I answered few and quite I was not sure of answers. She gave feedback like my communication and confidence level is good and project wise I'm having good knowledge and coming to concept wise it's not upto the mark for experience. I’ve recently left my job (unhappy with it) and am applying for new work. I have a few irons in the fire at the moment. I’m curious about a trend I am seeing: I like to think I’ve well documented my abilities and functions in my CV, as well as my portfolio. I’ve noticed that for some of these jobs that I can check every single box in the job description, I won’t even get an interview. I’m wondering if many of these jobs are posted for internal hires, but some stay open for weeks. What gives?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

What are some questions you always ask during your interview? I feel like I need to be asking more.

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter.
