How many chronic cannabis users in here? I’ve smoked daily for the last 5 years and am taking a break to see if I get any cognitive or productivity gains.

Now I’m definitely not a lazy person. I consistently wake up early, learn new skills, and run marathons. I typically would smoke at the end of the day similar to how my dad who’s a health 65 year old drinks a few beers at the end of every day for the last 30 years.

Anybody else a high performer who chronically smokes?

Yes, with the caveat that I don't smoke anymore. Whatever is out there now is way stronger than what I used to buy in college. I stick with a 5 mg gummy about an hour before bed. I've tried every other sleep aid and nothing works nearly as well for me. It's the only way I can actually get my mind to shut off and crash before 2 AM.

Yes. I switched jobs and smoked less and noticed some benefits. I think at high stress long hours it was only what took the edge off and I preferred it to alcohol (healthier too)

You are not alone. I am also a highly productive chronic user. My husband and I take breaks when we go on vacations and we have started to cut back how much we do during the week. We actually find that certain strains help with our productivity levels, so we don't cut back for that reason. We have tried to cut back for overall health reasons and a little bit because of cost. I never do any before or during working. It is only when I am home and finished working or if we are out socially.

What strains? I’ve been really into Terpinolene before my break

I recently bought my 1st home in TX. I want to get into real estate and eventually own/rent out multiple homes. Are there any good recommendations/tips on books/articles/websites that others have used to get started?

I've read about HELOC and cash out refinance to get a 2nd home but articles are so scattered that it gets confusing which is better in terms of tax benefits and immediate costs, etc. Anything others have found helpful that summarized how to get started would be great!

Let’s talk comp — I’m a remote head of recruitment with 6 years of experience being paid 75K base plus bonuses that got me to 90K this year. I’m interviewing for other jobs, and have a potential offer at $130K base. Any idea what the market is like? Is seems like anything between 72K and $250K is possible. I have no idea what to ask companies for.

I have a question about pricing. Some context to my upcoming question: My brother and I are starting a personal training business. I have six years military experience and he is still in the military. Collectively we have passed the hardest schools in the military and both love fitness and have experience building programs and are both certified personal trainers. I don’t know weather we should charge on the higher spectrum because of our experience or lower because of our business infancy.

Any craft beer brewers here?

In the last two year I’ve gotten more and more into alcohol free beer. The selection in my country (Europe) is still small and mainly driven by the big brands (e.g. Heineken). My idea is to start my own small brewery which only produces alcohol free beer as a bit of a pendant to the booming local craft beer industry. Any thoughts on that idea or someone who has experience in the market?

What are other ways to acquire early stage users?

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Look forward to hearing your experiences and wisdom!

So, I just joined a startup. No processes, no clear strategy, just one goal: selling. Getting leads. When ever I try to build a strategy, they (founders) swamp me with blablabla stories and not a single action plan. Is this the usual at startups? Also,no real company culture. At all. No HR. I am reaaaally struggling to get a sense of belonging here. What should I expect?? Tia
