I crammed as much of the book as I possibly could in two days because my NTS was going to expire. Somehow managed to pull a 75. Definitely the highlight of my CPA journey.

Yeah made me feel better about failing FAR and REG in that same window lol

60ish. If you're in audit, a lot of the stuff on the exam is just going to make sense.

I just found out that I passed the 4th CPA exam!!! I want to reward myself with (among other things) a nicer laptop bag. I can barely close my car door while carrying a laptop bag, lunch, water bottle, coffee mug, etc. in to work every day. I want to splurge but not too much (probably not more than $200). Can anyone recommend a cute and VERY spacious bag? I’ve been too busy studying on top of everything else I have to do in life to keep track of what is “in.” Any suggestions?

I’ve decided to make my career in the government side of consulting. Been doing it 10 years. Seems hard to find jobs where I manage people unless at a big 4. Anyone else find this true?

Currently wrapping up my first year as a investment banking analyst. Have ~10 or so interviews the next couple of weeks for strategic finance, corp dev, and corp strat. What are exits like for each of these and how do they compare? Is there one role that is typically seen as more prestigious, etc?

Hi all, I have the long-term goal of ultimately getting into a good Venture Capital firm at Associate level. I currently work at Amazon , did my undergrad and Masters in Economics at LSE. I have 2 main questions:
1) Is it even possible/feasible to pivot from Amazon to VC given my background?
2) I have the option to internally transfer in Amazon to a product/program manager role or AWS in a start-up Manager role - which of these would be best to maximise my chances of eventually getting into VC?

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?
