Leaving after one year to another biglaw firm?
Hi,
I have around 4+ years experience as a technical support engineer for Microsoft processes like windows, exchange server and worked on both b2c and b2b environments. I would like to get in Vmware as a support specialist role or technical support engineer. I don't hold a degree at the moment, but doing a distance degree now. Will VMware consider this and is there any way for me to get in for these roles? Please share your comments.VMware

I’m doing reliability engineering but that still requires a heavy use of mechanical engineering fundamentals

OP, in the same boat as you. Currently in manufacturing. Tried to get into a manufacturing eng role but no luck. Seems like many places want 3-5 yrs of engineering exp which I don’t have
I did, I know many engineers thought they needed to be in finance or tech to make good money (here in the UK) and so they jumped ships. But Mechanical Engineering is extremely lucrative
Been in manufacturing the whole time (10 yrs) but its still mechanical engineering, it's just equipment and tooling design instead of the product design. Only real difference is the qty produced and the implications of that.
Now I'm in managment though so I just go to meetings all day.
