hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

I once entered my room to find a stranger laying on my bed. Westin refused to comp me points and didn't believe a random guy was in my bed.
For getting stuck in elevator I would claim claustrophobia and panic attack and PTSD :). I would aim for 100k-150k spg points. Might also sue them.
@ACN3 I had a legit blood stain in my bed at the Renaissance
This would never happen at a marriott
Clarification: just D4
Hmm. The exact same thing happened to me. I was at a Sheraton and the power was out in the whole hotel and the parking garage was underground. My key deactivated (standard Sheraton) so I couldn't get out of the garage and the "call for help" button didn't work (busy signal) bc the power was out. I had to back down the ramp and park and go all the way back to the front desk. When I came back that night, there was wine and chocolates in my room. I regret not asking for points. If it was only for a few minutes and they handled it appropriately, 50k points might be a little ambitious, but I definitely think you could get something.
I was stuck in a Sheraton elevator for about an hour while the fire department came after maintenance failed to solve the problem. I was staying on points and asked to have the approximate value of the stay refunded. 50k was no problem.
@D1, that doesn't sound that similar to being stuck in an elevator...
No picture, didn't happen
Once Westin let someone check in my room the day I had late check out. They just used their key to walk in while I was still packing. I didn't ask for anything because I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Now I feel I should have.
I used 10k spg points to stay at aloft and got it refunded because there was construction outside the hotel and it affected my sleep. Told them I ain't gonna stay there anymore if they don't refund my points. Easy breezy.
😂😂😂😂 you guys are assholes lol
😂 @deloitte4 you are unreal. I will add though that if you say the hotel inconvenience made you late to a client meeting they might give you more points
Well I booked the hotel room to sleep not to listen to construction noise. SPG saw where I was coming from, apologized, and reimbursed my starpoints.
A lot
Hustle, hustle, hustle HARD!
I've made several complaints to Marriott/Spg and gotten a decent amount of points. How long were you stuck in the elevator and with how many people? I would say shoot for 50-100k
Deloitte 1: only 30 mins but I was alone. Soaking wet from a run. They did send wine and cheese to my room but 50k points would be a much nicer token of apology...
No bueno! Im gonna see what they can do, though I think you're right about the 50k points being a reach. Thanks for the insight compadre.
Wine in room homie
