Looking to vacation next summer in Greece and Italy with the fam. When you all book on bonvoy points do you reserve the room just for yourself or do put the actual number of people? Pretty torn between CSR and Amex Gold cards. Ignoring annual fees, I’m torn between points earning potential. With most of my budget going towards discretionary spending (dining, groceries, drinks) the Gold has an appeal, yet CSR’s broader definition for travel might even out the point earning potential (ie covering full cost of one Airbnd for several friends would be a big point generator). Are there any other major factors I might not be considering? I’ve gone thru the TPG review FWIW.

How many points? This morning I had to take care of business (if you catch my drift), but the toilet wouldn’t flush correctly in my hotel room. I needed to leave for the client soon, so I asked the front desk if they could send someone up to take care of it. They said that the maintenance person would be in at 8am (I called the front desk at 7:45am) and that they’d get it taken care of. Long story short, when I get back to the hotel at 6:30 pm it has not been taken care of and now my room stinks

Our math teacher has come under fire recently for how grades are collected. Daily work is worth 4 points. It is scored using a rubric. Tests are worth 100. Test corrections are worth 1/2 a point. There may occasionally be quizzes. Thoughts

I need some unbiased perspective: four of us teach the same class and, as required, give common assessments. We discuss how many points assignments are worth, how much we curve each test, etc though we vary a bit here and there on all of these things. The problem is that one of us grades everything DRAMATICALLY easier. Their average on a 50 point assignment might be as much as 20 points higher than the other teachers. What do I tell parents who complain??

Have completed a couple of cyber courses but do not have prior cyber experience. B) Will CISSP or relevant cyber certifications help?

Currently in industry, on the product side with previous consulting background. I don’t like the grind of consulting, but Salesforce CSG (prof services) reached out with a BA role. I’m also in the process of interviewing at FICO as well. I like that the FICO is on the internal product side, but Salesforce has a great reputation. Feeling like I don’t know what I want. For reference, I’m leaving my current place because of terrible leadership & back to office 5x a week/no flexibility. Any advice?

Please don’t waste someone’s time asking for a referral if someone else already gave you one. Most companies won’t let you have more than one referral and all you do is eat up someone’s time that is willing to help you out. It’s happened more than a few times now; just be honest that you want to learn more about a company / role and I’ll be just as willing to help you.

Need some encouragement on weaning. My baby is almost 11 months and I enjoy nursing but I do feel like it keeps me distracted during the day. I am struggling emotionally to begin the weaning process. I enjoy the time with her and am sad about the possibility of losing that (and also taking away her comfort prematurely) but I’m over scheduling breastfeeding or pumping sessions during the work week. I feel like this is preventing me from being a better worker. How did you emotionally do it?!
