My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

Don’t think there is an average. There are a ton of factors at play. I’ve seen a SM make it in three years because he was able to win large clients and others take 15 years at SM.
Not as crazy as 15!
Big range but maybe 7 years or so on average
It used to be shorter, but I agree that 7-8 is about average these days.
It’s was around six years when I started, but now I think it’s closer to eight. That said, I’ve seen people make it in three years, so it definitely varies with performance (and obviously business case).
There’s no timeline for making partner since there are various factors that are use to determine who gets it. The main factor being the need of the firm to have a partner for a specific industry/group. …
There's no timeliness. It's not guaranteed.
Depends on how good you are with politics.
There isn't a set time frame. The biggest factor will be if the firm has the book of business to support a new partner or not combined with how much of a book of business you have already built for yourself and brought to the firm. Typically there is some sort of program or path to follow that can take a few years to complete. Usually new partners have around 12 to 15 yoe in public acctg as a whole.
Took me 10. Depends on SSL, firm performance, SL performance, SSL performance, lots of politics and, least of all, individual performance.
