Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

Not as much as you might think for NYC. On the low end, only about $75K... on the high end, about $100K. You'd think it would be more, right?
PI in general pays low market; so it is correct the highest would be 100k (rare); I was a trial PI para before-moved to biglaw; even trial paralegals find it hard to break into 100k if ever-I usually see that amount 90s/100 pay for office managers/management; I would just not focus the position on the practice but just law firm/staff management to broaden your earning potential in NYC;
I saw someone else ask this same question in this bowl so I know from doing a bit of research. The average salary is about 75k but of course some make more and some make less. I would defintiely shoot for more like 85k in New York City and possibly more depending on your years of experience.
