1YOE medical device NPI Lead looking for salary perspective

Mechanical engineering grad, joined a medical device startup that I had done co-ops at. 8mo into full-time, pivoted from engineering into more of an operations role doing new product introduction (NPI), now with 3 direct reports.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

Hi everyone! I’m a young professional right out of college getting into investing and personal finance management. I am pregnant and don’t feel pregnant most of the time. I’m only 6 weeks so have to wait awhile before any visual confirmation. And then you worry about all the ones after that before 24 weeks or so. How do you cope? I am trying to be positive. I’ve had a miscarriage before so I’m nervous as well. I try some calming meditation and things like head massages but that lasts an hour tops!!

The offer from the large firm is for a pre-suit position, base salary of $100K - is this salary pretty standard for this kind of position?

I am finishing up my second year of practice as a lawyer. I transitioned to plaintiffs pi work from a boutique commercial litigation firm. I like the work and not having to bill. The issue I am having is managing volume. I have about 150 active files some pre-lit and the rest are in litigation. Cases range in value from very small to low six figures. I also take the driver seat for the grunt work on the firms bigger cases which are at or near 7 figure value. I constantly feel (cont.)

I want to start my own PI firm. What should I know? What should I do? What should I read? Thanks!

Has anyone ever dealt with Geico UM case where they insist that a release needs to be signed? Geico extended our client’s policy limits but wants him to sign a release. We offered to sign an acknowledgment of receipt of funds but Geico said without a release signed, they will not issue payment.

I currently work at a small PI firm in Atlanta were EVERYTHING is settled presuit. If we’re unable to settle, then it’s referred to another firm for litigation. This whole process seems very atypical to me and the attorneys rarely touch a file until the first liability offer is received. The paralegals handle everything from intake to drafting the demands. The attorney briefly skims (does NOT read) the demand packages and signs. Is this ethical?? Anyone else work at a firm that is run this way??

I give my cell phone to all clients routinely. However, there are always 1 to 2 clients who abuse this and it seems as soon as their cases are over I find a new one and it is making me rethink. I hate to do this because 98% do not abuse it and I like being connected to my people. Thoughts??
