In the agency I’m currently at, the salary band is ~£30-£40k. I think it goes up to around £48k for an SAM
ok thank you!!
At my agency the band is £30–42k. We do a yearly benchmark exercise and adjust our bands, so this is pretty accurate for the industry
I was a Client Services Director before this role, and I can tell you that £32k for entry level AM is a good starting point given the responsibilities you have when you first get promoted.
It depends on the agency, but I liked to bump my team to a higher salary (£35-38k) within 6 months if they were progressing well. If your agency doesn't do this and you have to wait 1 year to get a salary rise even though you're no longer "entry-level" AM, then yes, starting at £35k would be much better!
Are you trying to negotiate a pay rise? Or do you just want to know the status quo in the industry?
