I have 17 years of experience and have an offer from EY GDS for role "Senior Managing Consultant" (Rank 32) under Technology Consulting.

Most of my experience is with Solution/Technical Architecture in the Telecom, Media and Energy & Utilities domain.

I would like to understand if EY GDS assignments are allocated taking into consideration one's domain expertise also or is it like an open field where any kind of business has to be learnt within short time as part of consulting ?

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any? How do people focus in the office? I'm a first year and I've been mostly wfh since I started and I'm super productive at home - my setup is comfortable, I rarely get interrupted, and I feel like I can stay really focused in my home office.

Our SAs started today, so the firm is making us come in more often. My office set up is so awkward, screens are too small, and I'm constantly getting interrupted. Not to mention the extra time it took to get ready and commute. How do people do this?
